Green juice is now among the go-to beverages of most health-conscious people, and for good reason. A single glass of green vegetable-heavy juice bought from the store could easily contain 20% of the vitamins you need every day. Just imagine the healing benefits of green juice if you made it yourself!

As so, green juice has many, many benefits to our body and overall health. However, did you know that it has healing and restorative effects as well? The following are just a few of them!

You Get Your Daily Recommended Nutrient Intake

The best diet is, of course, a well-rounded one. However, there can be times when it is difficult to plan out complete meals every day, let alone make sure that you are getting the daily recommended 6 to 8 servings of fruits and vegetables daily.

Also, it is a good way to increase the good bacteria in your gut. As Hippocrates said, “All disease begins in the gut.” Thus, a healthy digestive tract is key to cleansing your body. Natural foods like Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and radish are rich in natural prebiotics. These prebiotics can aid in digestion, heal an upset stomach, and even fight colon cancer.

It Helps Lower Bad Cholesterol

With all the unhealthy options available in our society, bad cholesterol, especially high levels of LDL cholesterol, is increasingly becoming a big issue. Elevated levels of bad cholesterol promotes fat in the bloodstream and increases the risk of heart problems.

As so, green juice can help counteract that, and even protect your body from a heart attack and stroke. To lower cholesterol, many doctors will recommend eating more veggies such as dark leafy greens, eggplant, or cabbage. However, it may be impractical to eat big amounts of these in one sitting. Green juice is green because of all the leafy vegetables in your juice. The green pigment is actually from chlorophyll, which is instrumental for photosynthesis.

Research indicates the chlorophyll was used more than 100 years ago to promote the healing process. Moreover, it is known to hasten the time for internal healing!

Chlorophyll is also known as a superfood, thanks to its potent antioxidant properties. This means that it helps reduce cell damage while riding the body of harmful free radicals.
